If you are a man who loves to visit the adventurous place then you must add Wat Them Suea in your see list.it is situated at sky-high in Krabi, Thailand.it is a Buddhist temple founded on B.E. 2518. It is a religious site which is globally famous for tiger paw prints, tall Buddha statue and the steep, leg-challenging, gasp-inducing 1,272 steps it takes to reach the summit.
You might be thinking about “Why is it Called Tiger Cave Temple?”.well there is a two different story behind it, first is - a monk named Jumnean Seelasettho (Ajahn Jumnean) went to meditate in the cave. during his meditation, he witnessed tigers roaming around the cave. this discovery led to naming the temple wat tham suea.
The second story is - an actual huge tiger used to live and roam the cave .the naming of the temple also comes to discoveries of a tiger paw print on the cave wall.
The surrounding of this temple consists of tropical forest, cliffs landscape, many small caves, valley, hollow mountain. that makes this place more than adventurous than the other.
As I said, on this trip you have to climb the 1272 step to reach this summit. And these steps are not just more than 1200 but they are steep and uneven And the high temperature of Karbi made this more typical. you must have to a lot of water and along with other stuff.
The average temperature of Karbi is between 27°c and 33°c, so choose your visiting hours very wisely. generally, early morning or late night is considered a great time to visit the summit as the temperature is low.since it is a sacred place so you can’t enter in the summit without covering your shoulder and knee
On average, Visitors takes normally 1 hour to reach the summit by climbing the 1272 step. Time is taken to reach the summit depends on fitness age of trekker and other factors. However, in April 2016, an unofficial speed record was set with a 10-minute 21-second climb.

Every 100 steps you’ll see a marker of your progress (which can either work as a motivating factor or pop up a cruel reminder in your mind of just how many steps still remain!). But once you reach the top, the reward that greets you is a golden Buddha statue in lotus pose, panoramic view of Krabi town, its undulating forest-clad scenery and limestone karsts, plus the sparkling Andaman Sea.
